FIRE AND STORY - GROWTH
Created as a collaborative final project for my second Motion Design course to be played during the Bellingham Fire & Story event hosted by Paper Whale, this animation tells a narrative of seasonal transition from winter to spring. Our team set out to craft an emotional, story-driven piece centered on warmth, companionship, and renewal.
Our concept follows a cold, lonely deer who encounters a fire spirit in the form of another deer. The spirit guides the curious, frozen character to a hidden oasis, where he discovers warmth, flowing water, and a welcoming community.
I was responsible for background design. All background assets were illustrated in Procreate, then separated and prepared in Adobe Photoshop before being handed off to our visual effects lead for compositing and post-processing.
